War of the Thorns,Day 4, Druid Express Fighting Force! (Updated)

So… this morning I was going to do the dailies in Darkshore on my druid Wisteria. I was in Dreamgrove and thought of taking one of the Dreamway portals. Being lazy and not running back, I dreamwalked there. Or so I thought. I got teleported directly to southern Darkshore! My jaw fell, literally.

I did the quests and then dreamwalked back. Tested again to dreamwalk, this time from the Dreamway. I got ported to northern Darkshore! I did this a second time and got to the same spot, near Lor’Danel.

I also tested to take portal to Duskwood, and dreamwalk from there, at the dragon shrine. But that worked as usually. Wonder if there is a spot in Moonglade that works strangely like this? Probably not, as there is even a special druid airline to Darkshore there. But who knows?

The night elves and the druids are under attack. For an old pre-Cata (Alliance) player, the night elves and the druids are inseparable. When the elves are under attack the druids arrive fast to the scene! If the tauren are similarly attacked, we should help them, too! But the War of the Thorns is on… :/

Updated 1st of August It seems dreamwalking from Dreamgrove/Dreamway teleports character to zone from where last dreamwalk was done. (see my comment below). Has it always been like this?

  1. I wonder what happens to the Dreamway walk function in BfA? This sound fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ I always used it in Molten Core, using it inside the Dungeon and back ports you to the start. Lazy.

    It is on, unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    1. I have sadly not played my druid that much, but the Dreamway and Dreamgrove are so great. If it does not have much use in BfA I will surely visit it often anyway.
I did not know that using dreamwalk can port you start of dungeon! :O
      Nifty! ๐Ÿ˜€
Speaking of the war. I happen to pass the vendor of Vicious saddle mounts. I do not have any of those mounts, but it would feel appropriate to have the saber one during this expansion (for an elf at least). It is also great looking. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Update: This morning I was at mailbox in the Dreamgrove. Smartly I thought I would dreamwalk straight to Darkshore! I wound up at graveyard in Duskwood. I dreamwalked back to The Dreamway. Dreamwalk from there. Spawned at same graveyard! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Is this some kind of random Easter egg? Are gnome and/or goblin engineers meddling with the emerald dream? ๐Ÿ˜ก
    Testing will continue…

Update 2 Yesterday I played Wisteria a lot, catching up on stuff. But I forgot to test. This morning I tried again. From Dreamgrove and from Dreamway I teleported to the Vindicaar above Mac’Aree. I was on Argus yesterday, and maybe that was the last spot before going home to the Dreamgrove?

Update 3:This morning I dreamwalked from The Dreamgrove. I went to Zul’Drak. I was there yesterday, finally finishing Loremaster of Northrend. So it seems dreamwalking from Dreamway/Dreamgrove takes me to last zone (not exact spot) I last dreamwalked back home from. One thing this morning that was not yesterday is that the CD of dreamwalk is reset when I arrive at the “outzone”. I.e. I could immediately go back to Dreamway. This is pretty useful. Has it always been like this??
Now after I did dailies in Darkshore (I feel it is my duty as elf and druid) I dreamwalked back from there. Then I dreamwalked from Dreamway and wound up in Darkshore, a littler bit north of Grove of the Ancients. So maybe it is where I last dreamwalked from? Has it always been like this??

  3. I totally missed your own update here. it has always been like that indeed ๐Ÿ™‚ it ports you to the nearest graveyard at times too. But the instant dreamwalk I cannot recall, normally it’s a 1 minute CD yes or?
